Katy Perry has a new album and she has teamed up with photographer/ artist Will Cotton to create the cover art, and the look of this new video.
I was invited back to Motion Theory to complete the video. This entailed compositing green screen elements of Katy Perry and dancers into beach scenes, candy cane forests, and other Will Cotton/ Candyland inspired landscapes.
This job meant separating foreground characters from their green screens on over two hundred shots. Characters interact with a variety of imaginary creatures from angry gummy bears, a nasty gingerbread man, and candy cane snakes among others.
